Founded by leading scientists in biological data visualization.
Founded by Marc, Sam, Alex, and Nils—professors and researchers across JKU Linz, the University of Utah, the University of Graz, and Harvard University—datavisyn bridges the gap between academia and industry. While we love research, we created datavisyn to deliver the advanced data integration and custom enterprise solutions that are simply not possible within an academic context.

As a university spin-off, research is in our DNA.
Our founders and our team have a long track record of developing and publishing cutting-edge visualization methods, and we continue to do research and publish it at datavisyn! Our basic research work is also often funded by public agencies, which we gratefully acknowledge.
datavisyn champions inclusiveness and encourages all members of the team to contribute in their own way.
We excel only as a team. We build on each other’s strengths and learn from each other’s mistakes.
We are always open to ideas and requests from each other and invite everybody to speak up.
We are committed to delivering innovative solutions with cutting-edge technology.
From our open-source code to our shared scrum boards for agile teams, integrity and transparency are intrinsic to our work.
Commitment is a key principle not only of agile software development, but also of all datavisyn endeavors.

I ensure our products are as functional as they are intuitive by bridging the gap between design and engineering across the entire technical stack. The best part of the job is the collaborative culture; there is a genuine sense of teamwork here that makes professional growth inevitable.

I lead the evolution of Ordino to ensure that the newest research in visual analytics meets our customers' practical needs. The constant diversity of tasks and the opportunity to work with incredible people both in-house and worldwide make every day different.

Together with my team, I balance rapid deployment with robust protection by evolving the automated pipelines that support our global operations. At datavisyn, our blame-free culture ensures every voice is valued, turning mistakes into opportunities for systemic improvement and learning.

I advocate for researchers to ensure our platform is not just a tool, but a solution that clears the path from a tangle of data to actionable insight. I enjoy bridging the gap between user feedback and product evolution, ensuring our platform feels like a natural extension of a scientist’s "mind palace" as we work together to accelerate research.
